How everything in Ore Miner works, with the exact numbers the game uses. Search for a word or jump to a section.
Getting started
Tap the asteroid to mine ore. You start with 1 ore per tap and nothing mining on its own. Open the Upgrades panel and spend ore on three kinds of upgrade:
- Drills add ore to every tap.
- Drones, refineries and reactors mine ore every second, whether you tap or not.
- The Idle Collector lets your machines keep mining for longer while the game is closed.
When you're holding enough ore to meet the system's target, the launch button lights up. Launching takes you to the next star system, where the cycle starts again with a new upgrade and bigger numbers.
A good opening: buy a few Better Drills, get Mining Drones running, then pick up one Idle Collector before you put the phone down.
Upgrades
Four upgrades are available from the start. Every star system after Sol Belt adds one more, which stays in the list for the rest of the run. Each time you buy an upgrade its price rises by 15%, or 30% for the Idle Collector.

Star systems
There are ten systems. The ore target is how much ore you need in hand to launch onward, so ore you spend on upgrades doesn't count towards it. The system bonus is added to all production while you're mining there.

Launching and Warp Cores
Launching resets your ore and every upgrade you own. You keep your Warp Cores, achievements, skill tree, rebirths and lifetime ore total.
Warp Cores are worked out from your lifetime ore, which is all the ore you've ever mined and never resets. On each launch or rebirth the game sets:
Warp Cores = square root of (lifetime ore ÷ 1,000,000), rounded down.
Each core adds 2% production, and your core count never goes down. The first core arrives at 1 million lifetime ore, so your earliest launches usually give none. Cores are only recalculated when you launch, so mining further before launching still pays off later.

How the production bonus adds up
Everything is added together into one percentage, and that boosts both taps and per-second mining:
- 2% for each Warp Core
- the system bonus for where you are (10% for every two systems, up to 50% in The Omega System)
- 10% for each rebirth
- 1% for each achievement unlocked
The optional ad boost doubles the result for 60 seconds.
Rebirth and the skill tree
In The Omega System the launch button becomes Rebirth once you're holding 75 billion ore. A rebirth sends you back to Sol Belt with no ore or upgrades, and gives you:
- a permanent +10% production that stacks with every rebirth
- 1 Skill Point
- a fresh Warp Core count based on your lifetime ore
The skill tree
Tap the Warp Cores line under the asteroid to open it. There are five perks with five levels each. A perk's next level costs one more Skill Point than the last (1, 2, 3, 4, then 5), so maxing one perk takes 15 points. Perks are never reset.
| Perk | Each level | At level 5 |
|---|
Efficient Drones raises your offline rate while you don't own an Idle Collector. It can't push the rate past 100%.
Tap combo
Tap again within 0.9 seconds of your last tap and you gain a combo stack. Each stack adds 10% ore to your taps, up to 10 stacks for double ore. The combo label appears from the second stack. Pause for longer than 0.9 seconds and the combo starts over.
The combo only affects taps. It doesn't change per-second mining.
Offline mining
Your per-second machines keep working while the game is closed. When you come back, you're paid:
ore per second × seconds away × offline rate
- Time limit: 5 minutes to begin with. Each Idle Collector adds 5 minutes and each level of the Deep Pockets perk adds 2 hours, up to a maximum of 24 hours.
- Offline rate: 50% with no Idle Collector, 100% once you own at least one.
Upgrades reset when you launch, so buy an Idle Collector early in each system. If notifications are on, the game tells you when your offline time is nearly full.
Timed challenges
Three challenges are always running, and each lasts 3 minutes. There are three kinds:
- Earn ore: the target is set from your current income, roughly 90 seconds of per-second mining or 40 taps, whichever is higher.
- Tap MINE: between 30 and 60 taps.
- Buy upgrades: between 1 and 3 purchases.
Finish in time and press Claim. The reward is 5% of the current system's ore target, so it grows as you travel. A claimed or expired challenge is replaced by one of a different kind.
| System | Reward per challenge |
|---|
Daily rewards, the spin and the mini-game
The first time you open the game each day you claim a reward. Claim on consecutive days to move up the week. After day 7 the streak goes back to day 1, and missing a day also sends you back to day 1. The day changes at midnight UTC.
| Streak day | Ore |
|---|
The daily spin
After claiming, you spin a six-slice wheel. Two slices unlock the mini-game, a 1-in-3 chance. If you miss, you can watch an ad for one bonus spin.
Asteroid shooter
Drag to steer your ship while it fires on its own. You have 25 seconds and 3 lives, and asteroids arrive faster as time passes. Each asteroid you destroy pays:
40 + 15 for each system past Sol Belt + 25 for each rebirth ore.
At the end you can watch an ad to double the payout.
Achievements
Each achievement adds a permanent 1% production. Unlock all ten and you also get a one-off ore bonus (5% of your lifetime ore, at least 50,000) and 1 Skill Point.
| Achievement | How to unlock it |
|---|
Shop and ads
Everything in the game can be reached without paying. The shop shows prices in your local currency.
| Item | What it does |
|---|
Optional reward ads give 2× ore for 60 seconds, a bonus daily spin, or a doubled mini-game payout. A full-screen ad can appear after a launch or rebirth, at most once every two minutes.
Big numbers and settings
Amounts under 100,000 are shown in full. Above that the game shortens them:
| Suffix | Means | Example |
|---|---|---|
| k | thousand | 250k = 250,000 |
| M | million | 5M = 5,000,000 |
| B | billion | 75B = 75,000,000,000 |
| T | trillion | 1.5T |
| Qa | quadrillion | 2Qa |
| Qi | quintillion | 1Qi |
The gear button opens Settings, where you can switch vibration, sound, tap effects, reduced motion and both reminder notifications on or off, restore a Remove Ads purchase, and reset your progress. A reset is permanent.
